Was the con held at the Ramada?

Yeah! I really love this hotel, it's just a shame it's so small 'cause all the cons eventually leave once they get bigger. :I

Ah man I had nothing but awful experiences there. Glad it (maybe) turned around though?? I definitely wanna go to this con next year :D

:o What was wrong with it? I've only stayed there twice, once for AniMinneapolis, where I thought the courtyard was cool but otherwise didn't really have much of an opinion on it, and this time, in which I thought the courtyard was THE BEST THING EVER and the rest of the hotel was still really nice. Plus, it's right across the street from the mall so that's cool.

I had a bunch of issues with their management, when we got there our hotel room was filthy and we only had one bed (????) even though it was a two bed room, then they charged my card for two rooms for some reason and refused to refund it until I took it up with management and threw a huge fit about how I was not going to pay six hundred goddamn dollars for one room and they finally took action and gave me a coupon for their breakfast area which I tried to use the next morning except they told me it was expired so I couldn't use it anyways. The rooms were also just hella expensive for what it was. I think it was comparable rates to the doubletree (which is 100% nicer IMO). Just a huge fucking headache of a convention, didn't even get to enjoy it because of all the hotel drama. (Not to mention the roommate drama, holy shit.)
The courtyard was super cool but that was pretty much the only redeeming aspect of it for me.
