The idea was roughed in pencil.
Scanned.
Touched up character with pencil brush.
Did designs with flat brush (used a lot of stroke blend mode)
The watercolor look is a texture overlay of mine of watercolor paint on bristol board. This was placed over the top of every layer and adjusted to give it the golden bronze look (its actually sky colors cause I use it for that most).
