This is my big fat lazy lizard. He comes to the shows that he's allowed to be at (a lot of shows won't let me bring him, despite me telling them how wonderfully tame and passive he is!).

Asgard is nicknamed Derp. He is an approx. 4 year old adult Argentinian black and white tegu. He will never be bred because he's got a birth defect, the tegu 'fatty lip' you see in this picture. It's not a sign of bad health, he's had it since he was young.

Most of the time at these shows, he lays on his towel (there's a heating pad under him, lol), and lets everyone love on him. THe last few shows have been full of boyscouts and girl scouts coming to see him, and it was wonderful!

he's the tamest gentle giant I have ever had the honor of owning. He's just a big loveable cuddlebug.

he's headed into brumation, then hibernation, coming in the next month or so, so I'm going to miss my big giant lizard while he's sleeping away the winter.
