I'm so lucky to live on a farm where I can do this and see 100% of the night sky with no light pollution. If you've never done so, I encourage everyone to make a trip out into the country where there are no lights or big towns nearby, on a cloudless moonless night, and just spend a few hours looking at all the stars, that you'll have never seen before if you were raised in a city. It's beautiful, a very easy bucket-list task. And if you've got a ute you can toss blankets and pillows in the tray and lay there under the stars cuddling with a friend, looking up at all of them, it's very enchanting ^^
Oh gods, YES! It's shocking how many of the stars are obliterated by light pollution in the cities! When we'd go camping, we'd love to go down to the beach at night and look up to see this wonderland of stars and the milkyway. Aussie's definitely right folks - a must-do for any bucket list.
