That was a bit of an experiment to see how he would look if the light reflections on his eyes doubled as a set of "pupils" that follow what he was looking. This unlocked a new level of expressions with this character, so I did a quick set of doodles to see how he would look with this kind of look. And I was liking what I was seeing. Something new...
