I';m expecting them to like, free their parents or something later, and the vines will open, or like, maybe fade to dust as the magic of the creatures controlling it stops. Then all of the captors that have been there for a long time will fall out, Dead, shriveled up as a carcase, or bones, or something. I don't imagine a happy scene.
