So I was just trying to work on a more cartoony style and this chickie came along.
So I think I'm gunna keep her
So many OCs I dont even care ahahaha
This is Nida. I have no idea what species she is. She was born without arms, but her mother fitted her with cloth arms that she could control just as well as regular arms. When she was a little girl, a elder made a prophecy that she would travel to the land of giants. There she would lose part of herself, but gain greatly.
Nida was intrigued by this prophecy and set about to travel to the giants land. She spent her entire live preparing. Training, for her moment. She called in every favor, bribed and lied through her teeth till she got someone to agree to smuggle her into giant lands. But the smuggler wasn't happy with what he was being forced to do and instead of dropping Nida off where they agreed, her brought her to a Giant's house and threw her inside.
The two giants inside were a couple sitting down for dinner, and were not happy about being disturbed. They were even less happy when they saw it was "a lower creature". The male grabbed his steak knife and before Nida could react, attacked. She managed to skitter away, but the female caught her and held her still as the male attacked again. This time, the male managed to slide off her right ear.
Angry, Nida managed to grab the knife and twist it away from the giants. She wielded it against them and in the end, she managed to kill both of them. Nida took their riches and the knife, which she had reforged into a huge sword for herself. [The knife only really needed to be fitted with a hilt she could hold easily.]
She tracked down the guy who smuggled her in to get her revenge. He was shocked she was still alive. She told him what happened and cut his ear off in penance. He spread the story of Nida, who became known as "The Giant Killer."
As the prophecy stated, Nida did indeed gain greatly, though she lost her ear. She became a knight in the service of the greatest ruler in the non-giant lands, and soon became the royal family's personal body guard, and friend.
I really dunno how she controls those cloth arms, but they're super strong, enabling her to wield the knife sword with ease. The edges are a bit frayed and slightly ripped, but the rest of the cloth is enchanted to repair itself. She doesn't know why the edges dont "heal". The cloth arms have no fingers, but she does have a "thumb" of sorts.
