Had a little mishap in the parking lot. I was backing up, then someone else decided to back up. I honked, they kept going and didn't stop until it was too late.
It's not bad, mainly paint from their car, I got a couple dents and some scratches.
What I'm upset about is how insurance sees this. This year I was hit by a deer (yes I was hit, I didn't hit the deer), I got two speeding tickets, both of which were accidents, I wasn't intending to speed, and now this which wasn't really anyone's fault, though I do believe the other person should have paid more attention.
but insurance see this as, "Oh he hit a deer, in his 5 years of driving he's gotten two tickets so he's a speeder, oh look now he's hit someone!" Unfortunately all these things happened this year, so that makes me look even worse... yaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I really hope the rest of my year is safe and accident free. Especially with my trip to MFF coming up I really don't want anything to happen during my 10 hour drive.

You know, if it doesn't bother you, you can just keep the damage or pay out of pocket. If you don't use your insurance for the repairs, it shouldn't end up on your record.
I, personally, have hit two cars. They were both accidents, and both my fault. I paid for their repairs, and I paid for mine. My premiums didn't go up, although the repairs were quite expensive.
Worth considering?

The normal cost for replacing and painting two doors is around $200? That includes labor, buying the doors and the paint. (I haven't dealt a lot with bodyshops so I'm not really sure how much things should be.)
But oh well, doesn't matter too much now. Losing $300 isn't the worst.
