This is Sem, a gali. They were a sun-worshipping race I developed years ago that was loosely inspired by the interesting gali monsters from the Playstation game Monster Rancher. I think the idea was this was what they actually looked like when they took their mask off, as the galis in-game are always invisible except for a floating mask and cape.

I recall seeing this so long ago. I think maybe on VCL. I fell in love with it back then and I feel like that fire reignited. Just as gorgeous as I remembered this piece to be. I'm glad I happened to discover you here on FA just now by chance.

I had a similar idea, except they were themselves of a divine nature, even having a stable religious following among mortals(Galinites).
As with most religions though, mortals do not grasp the full depth of the beings they praise.
