Your tattoos are amazing!
I notice that they are so nicely black! Is that the photography or are they actually that dark? I know nothing about tattoos, but so many I see are a faded color.

They are that black... they all fade just a smidgen as the skin heals over... but if you do them right, and the person that gets them takes care of them... they will stay dark.

Oh my, your tempting me to have my hands and forearms completely tattooed black to be more fox-like...but I have a feeling that would be a very long, intensive and painful process.
Not to mention the looks I would get.

I would recommend against getting the tops of your hands tattooed unless you are in an industry that A.) Doesn't give a damn or B.) Likes that sort of expression. It can be a death sentence right up there with face tattoos XD

Like OP mentioned, if you get hands, wrists or forearms tattoo'd you are pretty much signing your job death sentence. You can sometimes get away with wearing full-sleeve dress shirts, but don't count on it. Visible tattoos should have years of consideration before they happen.

I once had the interest in getting paw prints tattoo'd on my inner wrists but got told by SO many people how bad an idea it was, I chose against it.

Yeah, I've known of some who can get away with it, but I would rather keep my employment ability... unless I really hit it big in the lotto, lol

The forearms and wrists can be covered. Around here at least it's becoming more and more commonplace. However the hands and fingers still have the stigma of being "Gang territory" and the only folks that get them are ones that own their own businesses (we tattoo several of those) Do other things.... or are in a job where it doesn't matter. I plan on getting some lilies done on both of my hands when I can get out to the west coast :) But I am a tattooist now and it's expected.

It's so dark, it almost looks like you glued some velvet/felt to his skin. :) I love how clear the edges are, I've seen so many tattoos where the ink in the lines bleeds into the surrounding skin.

That is called line blowout. and it happens when the needles go too deep into the skin and hit the tiny layer of fat below the skin.... the ink doesn't stay put and travels around.

Ah, kewl, so are you able to adjust how deep the needle penetrates the skin?

Yup! and we adjust diffrent lengths for diffrent parts too! the skin isn,t a single even surface.... its thick in areas and super thin in others XD
