Art Trade: Toxic Smug
Smug is a pun with smog. Get it? -u-
This was part of an art trade with You-Are-Now-Incognito. His/her (I think her?) character Trevor, which can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14450839/
Go and love his/her part here 'cause it looks really great! : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14607462/
Anyways... I've been kinda out of everything for a while, hopefully this can put me back on the radar and reassure those who may have thought I had just kind of... left, or lost the will to do anything more than post a journal a few weeks back.
I can't say I'm great, and I can't say how often I'll be posting, but I'm holding together and still drawing fairly regularly, so that's a start.
This should have been in a journal post, but I can't be bothered. Hope you don't mind me rambling on about stuff in descriptions!

It took me a bit to get started on this drawing in a way that I felt optimistic about, but at least I got started and from there everything went well.
I'm trying something a different for shading and lighting this time; a multiply layer for shading, as usual, but I also added a second multiply layer, this one bucket-filled with the shadow colour, just above my usual shading layer. After that, I used a screen/substract layer to make the lighting. I've tried this on one or two other drawings and was very pleased with the results, so I decided to start using it more often.
Hope you guys like, and especially you, You-Are-Now-Incognito!
