It might not be much of an example, but what I do is just repeatedly go over areas with that bush and continuously, yet slightly, change the tone of the color i'm using to make it look mixed. It also helps to make a layer under it and then use the marker tool to fill in all the gaps under the brush strokes.

It felt real nice going back to drawing random burds again.
The text in the background was kinda nonsensical. The hand-written parts are just EXTREMELY loosely written incursive words. The other printed text obscured to the right is actually my idea for my next submission. It's written in English, but at the same time the letters are shaped funny. It's not wingdings, but just another funky text made to look weird.
It felt real nice going back to drawing random burds again.

Ive looked at this so many times and I still can't believe how amazing this is.
You're detail on the feather and fur effect look so realistic and smooth, nothing being lost in terms of placement. Even the beak on this bird look astonishing, just the right texture, structure and shine to fit the body immensely accurately. Damn good work here
