I've only seen the abridged version. I find those version are far more entertaining in a shorter time. You should take a glance at the abridged version of it called "50% OFF". I thought I'd laugh till I died. ~u~

I'm sorry, I've not seen the anime this is based off of but this looks alot like Ryouske and Keisuke Takahashi from Initial D. Despite, this is a beautiful piece, I love the mood and the emotion.
