I think crows, and corvids in general would make pretty neat little griffins, curious and clever and getting into things. They already do so much without even having hands, with paws they'd be bad as raccoons, I bet, articulate little fingers or no. And imagine petting one, since the back half is pretty much just a little domestic short hair. Aaaaah!
