I've been in a massive art rut recently where a)I haven't been drawing as much and b)my feelings towards the little work I do produce is lukewarm at best, so I decided to do something to push myself out of my comfort zone and hopefully get re-motivated by it.
Basically all I did was grab a random number generator, chose three numbers between 1 and 719, and drew a scene with the Pokémon with those corresponding National Pokédex numbers. I really really suck at backgrounds/landscapes and rarely push myself harder than "character-posing-in-colorful-void," so doing a real, finished piece ended up being my goal for this. I'm pretty happy with the result.
