It's been a little over three months now since I've had her.
Received from a previous owner, who knew barely anything about them,
She was always so afraid of being handled in the least.
They didn't know what they were doing, "Hey, she's cute. Hold her even when she's scared."

Because of that, if I placed my hand any lower than her head,
She would turn around, "bark" defensively, standing upright on her back legs.
She wasn't abused, nor was she ever given the time to adjust on her own level.

Now, I'm able to slowly pet her head, down her back and all the way to the tip of her tail.
And this is something she loves to do, look out curiously as I pet her fluff.
The best part is she lets me do it whenever now.
Time and patience is important for a lot of matters,
And species doesn't make it any less important.
