No folks, I don't think you can strum the instrument pictured here. From what I've seen you can only pluck the strings or strike them with the specialized hammer tools commonly used.. Also they're more square than this... I'm sure I've already used the instrument's name to death so I shall try not to slather it on so much in the future ^o^;

I would be very interested to learn how to play it- it looks much more fun than anything else I've seen. I'd especially like to play by hand since my talent with my hands themselves is much greater than my talent at using objects held in my hands ^u^
