Kanashimi 'Shi' has been a lost soul for thousands of years trapped within a soul gem broken from a master splinter some time ago. His appearance shifts from moment to moment, but the mask on his face always stays. Shi spends his time looking for poor wanderers on the bottom of Hiroden. He pesters his victim for days or even weeks until either he loses intererst or they snap and try to fight back Shi. At this points, shi kills his victim, and starts tearing through the victims body, throwing pieces of it all over their local. The end product is never a beautiful sight...

Shi's ultimate goal is to destroy the planetary station Hiroden and to free his soul trapped at Hiroden's center. He eventually teams up with March Emhots to destroy Hiroden, but Viral interfears and stops him. Viral takes Shi's heart as a gift for Jam.

Shi has no gender.
