All ready to fur! I may re-make the eyes with buckram instead of this plastic mesh. If I work REALLY hard it may be done by this weekend and definitely in time for Halloween!

First time using a resin base, second head on my own.

Yup, big and poofy! The insides will be lined with fleece so it won't poof forward too much.

I'm halfway done furring and it's looking good. It's an easy fix even if not. Just rip stuff out and redo. Fur and foam are so forgiving, haha!

It will be a fursuit head, I am also making arms/feet/tail/possibly wings to go with it. Maybe even a bodysuit much later if I'm feeling ambitious!

Buckram... that stuff closely related to terri cloth or canvas? That would mean you are obviously wanting to paint the eyes(where mesch can be a pain to paint by comparison) . What is the benefit over Chiffon?

Yep! It's the stuff used in hat backing, easily paintable and stiff and relatively easy to see out of. I'd use chiffon if I were doing tear duct vision, but I'm doing iris vision here. Chiffon seems like it'd be hard to paint since it's such a light fabric.
