This is the motherboard from my Asus G73JH, trying to figure out why it is freezing all the time and I've come to the conclusion that it's a heat problem, it will run all day playing a BluRay movie and not freeze once with that 120 MM fan blowing on it.

Yeah I know that's right, it was driving me nutz trying to figure out why it was freezing up on me, if I don't have that 120 MM fan blowing on it, it will lock up when I play ANY video, I took heat sink off both the GPU and the CPU, cleaned them to a mirror shine and re-pasted them, didn't help, the vents were clean and so were the fans, but your right, it would be a tad hard to transport it like this.... like it is now, it has been playing Blu Ray DVD's for two days straight now and not froze onece .... Asus had a major design fail for cooling on these units ! SB.
RTC battery ??? do you mean the MOBO battery ? this lappy had very very very limited use, the fans had minimal to none dust in/on them, I did a test and had it running for two days straight, playing blu ray movies, with the 120MM fan on it, I took the 120MM fan away from it while it was playing and it ran for 5 mins and 30 sec's then froze .... *shrugs* I've even taken the heat sink off of both the CPU and the GPU, cleaned them and re-pasted them, didn't help, I dunno what else to do. SB.
Thanks for your suggestions buddy, yeah they are controlled by sensors, they work normal and furn the fans properly, just for some reason it's not enough to cool when it is all boxed up in the case, the fans are completely free of dust and so are the vents ..... I just think there is a serious design flaw, the way the vents are designed is that half of each vent pulls in cool air while the other half is exhaust of warm air, I think it's pulling in warm air as it's being exhausted, it's difficult to explain, there are tow vents on the rear of this unit, one on the left is for the CPU and the one on the right is for the GPU, each vent does double duty .... I'm done with this thing, I'm going to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 and put it up for sale, the first person to show me $250 takes it home, this is a $1500 Asus Republic of Gamers laptop, but I'm done with it, if you know anyone that might be interested in it, drop me a line. *hugs the yote*.
