So I meant to upload this BEFORE midnight... but alas I fail and got caught up in icons instead. -_-

I've had this pic finished for a while and I wanted to wait until a very specific date to post it, that date being Sept 30th(which again, I missed by a few hours XD). The reason I wanted to post it then, was because Sept 30th, 1998(or the 28th but whatever LOL), according to Pokemon.com, was the release date for Pokemon Red and Blue in the US. That date was a date that pretty much changed a lot of my life. I'm not gonna say it made profound changes, but it set off a love and a passion that has continued to this day! That being the love of Pokemon.

I have drawn myself as a Pokemon trainer before, along with my fakemon partner Kinkachu, seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8685816/ But I wanted a chance to draw her once more, but this time with my favorite official starter Pokemon. Since Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire came out, I fell in love with Treecko and shiny Treeckos are prolly the coolest thing on the face of the earth! So I knew using one for my starter, I had to take the chance to make mine shiny.

I actually exhausted the inner time clock on my original Pokemon Ruby game by soft resetting repeatedly trying to get a shiny Treecko to start with LOL. But now that Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are coming out in Nov... I get to experience that joy ALL OVER AGAIN!

But yeah, since my favorite Pokemon region games are getting revamped to epic new graphics coming out soon, I had to draw something to go along with it. ^^
