I had a lot of fun with this one. The idea is so very "Calvin and Hobbes"-esque that I ran with it from beginning to end, letting it influence the picture quite a bit. Now, I'm no Watterson, but I still gave it my best and had fun working some elements of his watercolour style into my own, even if it's only in a very minor way.
They're probably going to be a bit sore whenever they finally land wherever they're going to, but I don't think that'll stop them from having fun the whole way there.

Seriously, that was the first thing I thought when I saw this, It's from a german caricature that shows exactly this situation but instead of two naked dudes, erich honecker sat in the cart saying this line.

Hey hey! That's so awesome! Love how it turned and they look pretty happy for two furs jumping off what appears to be a small cliff? >_<. Then again it does look like fun!

Don't get me wrong, please, I like your pr0ns and erotic artwork much and I really am not in the position to tell you what to draw, I am thankful that you give this great artwork as a gift for everyone to look at, but well... I am just happy to see something in your style without shown vaginas, boobs, butts or dicks.

Perhaps I get away with it because I wasn't so much trying to imitate, but was just allowing it to inspire the direction of the work a bit. I don't think many people could really do a proper job of copying Watterson's work, but maybe it's not so bad when it's Ru's work with a hint of Watterson on the side? :P
