Personality: One of the elders of her village, Coraline tends to have wisdom and patience in spades. As the healer and spiritual advisor, she tends to be very compassionate to others. However she has a love of pretending to be outdated just to convince the younger generations to do tasks for her that she doesn't feel like doing. She prefers making friends than enemies, but isn't afraid to give an individual one for if she feels they warrent one.
Relationships: As one of five village elders in her village, she often oversees a lot of the village's affairs. One part mentor and one part adopted mother to Ryl, she views the stardasher much like a son and has currently entrusted him to tasks that require travel outside of the village.
History: Coraline was born in the small village of Osis, was raised there, became the apprentice to the local shaman/healer/elder, and has spent her whole life being the healer, advisor, spiritual guidance, and one part protector of the small cloistered village. As the second oldest stardasher in the village, Coraline has watched her hometown flourish.
At one point Coraline was married and had a child, but both were lost many decades ago. Since then, she had focused on her duties and taking care of those around her. Years back a group of scouts returned with some injured/slain dashers who had fallen victim to a Starshooter ambush, including a recently injured and blinded Ryl. Taking the boy under her wing, she helped him get back onto his feet and later adopted him, taking him on as her apprentice. This decision did not fare well with some of the other elders, as the positions had always been either passed on by blood or at the very least someone born in the village. Regardless, she stands by her decision.
As of this time, she spends most of her days in Osis, rarely venturing out. A master alchemist, those outside of Osis likely only know of her via the silver-blossom cactus extract that her village uses as a primary export. A potent drug often used to dull pain and cauterize/sterilize injuries, harvesting and the method in which one distills it down and renders the numerous negative side effects null (in its raw form the leaves are considered toxic if not deadly) is one of the village's best guarded secrets.
It is said that Coraline is one of the elders tasked with not only the health of the villagers, but tending to the spiritual balance of the area itself.
