Something cute because it's "not my thing". :) Another one of my attempts with watercolor, this time on more textured paper, thus the bad scan.
This one as well as many of my recent and future uploads will be in the Eurofurence art show. And I finally have confirmation that I can attend in person. So dealers den = prints, sketches, chatting, etc.

It's not so washed out in real life, but yeah, still perhaps not enough layering. I'm scared of ruining things once I have passed too much time on them. XD I'm thinking of making a series (some people have already mentioned real stories with other combinations like this).
And thank you for the comment on my journal. I think we're thinking of the same person in this recent instance, and I am glad I am not imagining things, that it came out sounding bitchy. I had a big wtf moment. o.o

*snuzz* I can understand you there, really, that's why I thought I'd intervene.
And as for a series, oh man that would be lovely. I know of countless events were dog mommas fostered kittens, fawns, tigers and racoons even. Or cats who nursed guinea pigs and squirrels. O_o Not to mention that one lioness that kept on trying to foster young antelopes.

Sorry, I managed to miss the notice of the reply in my inbox, I only saw it when the person below commented.
You mean the coloring reminds you of the game (assuming it's a game? looks like some kind of rpg) because it's watercolor and that's the effect watercolor makes. Telling someone that their -Style- reminds you of something else is not usually regarded as a compliment. ;) Not saying all I need to receive are compliments, but if someone accuses me of having the same style as someone else (unless I was deliberately trying to imitate and state so myself) they better back their claim up. In this case it's just a matter of the coloring of one being soft pastel hued watercolors, and the other being CG done to imitate watercolors. The drawing styles have absolutely nothing in common, just the palette and to a degree the medium (imitation of medium).
I know you obviously didn't mean it in a negative way, now having seen the art you were referring to, but just saying that you should maybe change your wording a little the next time you tell someone their art reminds you of something else.

But, particularly in this one case - i confess i wouldn't be able to properly reply you cuz i got kind of depressed ... I know there's not reason for such reaction, but it just happend. I might have been stupid if i replied you immediately.
I used to play Radiata Stories so much. I loved the game - And when i saw this piece, i got happy - Because it totally recalled me of the so much passionating plot, of Radiata! And yeah, the medium is not quite the same... It's something else, i am afraid i lack understanding to point it. Mind me not for that!
I am rather childish and insist in personal-oriented ways of pleasuring people; and these may seem unadequated cuz you're obviously not me XD!!! My tenor of discourse was wrong, cuz i was talking to somebody i know not.

No worries, as I said, you obviously didn't mean it in a bad way! But indeed, what seems to be flattering to one, may not be to another.
I have once received a remark that offended me while the person saying it only meant it in the most positive way (they were saying something along the lines of "wow, your art is as good as (insert fandom artist here)", who happened to be their favorite artist but who I personally thought was not particularly all that skilled. That sentence would have been awesome if the blank was replaced by Michelangelo or any of the popularly accepted masters of old, but people should be careful when comparing an artist to their peers if they're trying to make a compliment. ;)
