Being from a family with a long history of fighters from just about every background, it's no surprise that Kelly's motto is "hit 'em hard, hit 'em fast, hell just hit 'em as much as possible". Having learned a few things from scrapping with her older brothers (both PCA graduates) gave her a definite advantage when she started out, though it took some time for her to learn how to control herself and not just launch at an opponent with her fists flying.

She still needs to work on that part, though; despite learning both Light Screen and Reflect to prove that she's as tough mentally as she is physically, she often completely forgets to use them in a battle as she tends to get too caught up in the moment. If not for the constant distractions of team infighting keeping her from having a calmer outlook, she could very well be a top-level battler.
