Were you at RainFurrest '14? Did you see this coyote? I am looking for any pictures or video anyone might have taken of him at the con. :) He was in the fursuit parade on Saturday, as well as wandering about and on the dancefloor later at night, on several nights of the con.
I haven't gotten a chance yet to take higher-than-webcam-quality pics of him myself, though hopefully that will also be happening soon...
Also, here's a YouTube video link with a demonstration of his moving ears, finally:

(Please forgive the quality; this is the first video I have ever put on YouTube, and my video editing skills are basically non-existent. XD)
For those curious: the ears are 100% soft sculpture - no frames, no motors, no hardware of any sort! They work based solely on the movements of the wearer vs. gravity, which means the head (which is about 98% foam) is still very light and agile to wear.
If you have PICS or VIDEOS: please email them to me (electricgecko at gmail dot com) or post links here! I would like to have permission to repost them, and if I do, I will credit you however you like (your name, gallery link(s), etc.). Thanks in advance!!

Amazing work, to both have them able to move and "fold" but retain enough shape and structure that the wearer's head's movements are what really determine the ears' behaviour.
And boy, do you know how to move your head. :)
That must have been a blast to watch - I really hope you find some good videos of it in action in situ! cause I wanna see it too. :)

I was watching this video and got mesmerized by the motions of the coyote's ears. I couldn't help but muse on how to make the ears move better, but I believe the performer is on the right track. I take it the ears are simply weighted in the tips, and can somehow "Lock" at the base. Still, I enjoyed watching the video with it's "Satellites" theme, as it seemed perfect for a coyote, and I believe with a little practice the performer could get a broad range of emotions through the character just by simple ear movement alone.
