Meet Tahlis Zzradi: a rock lizard.
Opening our story is Tahlis - a wanderer and a member of an esoteric group of magicians. Their meetings are rare ande ach one keeps to him or herself. Like the others, she is obsessed with attaining power, and doesn't like people. To her, attachment is just another weakness. A novice at magic, she can channel pain into another person, and sometimes her spells cause flames to erupt. It is a skill she has not mastered and it often backfires.
There is a mystery involving a certain ferret that she meets, and she won't rest until it is solved ...
