This is a natural part of Australia's game, Aussie rules football / AFL, just laying it on the boot and setting it up for a teammate to take a screamer of a specky!
NFL punters should probably have a similar action. The beauty of the drop punt is that it spins backwards, so if you're an NFL punter, you can pin the ball down inside the 10 without it flying into the endzone. The kicking team just needs to get to the bounce of the ball and smother it good. Too much sportsball? Sorry, I love it!
