So, this is a gun I actually want to make... I get tired of Nerf not making a gun where the trigger cocks AND fires the gun... I mean, if they can make one that's hammer actioned, surely they can make a trigger one? It's not a complex design either... the trigger latches onto the plunger, pulling it back against the spring. At the end of the stroke, the latch is moved apart (probably by a small ramp or something) and the plunger shoots forward, firing the foam dart. Not complex at all. Plus it looks hella sick, I would certainly put a red dot sight on there. Probably not practical or accurate, but so very cool.
It's just a shame I'm going to need to spend a couple of hundred pounds just setting up the right equipment... Anyone wanna kickstart me? Haha~

Well, that's quite a fancy-looking bit of kit. And you'd think Nerf would have figured semi-auto action on their own if they can manage full-auto, but I guess that's what custom work is for.
If you do try your hand at creating such a device, I wish you the best of luck with the project! I did think about trying my hand at my own custom toy design work, but as qith everything else, the whole affair was quite beyond me.
