So while all our other fur friends went to Furjam in Perth, those of us who stayed in melbourne had a little get together on sunday, and we all took photographic/filming oppurtunity of it all~
And as a thankyou to Victoria Fur Meet, I made a little music video with it of all the happy smiles, bouncing, flailing and cuteness that ensued, from EVERYONE!
It was the perfect turnout for this first timer moderator of the group. I was so nerveous! But everyone said I did a good job of it <3
Enjoy guys!

Ah right-o. I've been considering hauling my video setup to a meet for some time but after this meet I think I'll wait until I have my own suit. After wanting a suit for 7+ years and only now commissioning one, it's painful seeing everyone else and still not knowing what it's like to be in character. For next year though, definitely~
Washed out is what you want though. Clip down on the gamma curves/knee settings and you'll find you can retain an immense level of detail in both the highlights and shadows, which was extremely difficult today considering how contrasty the sun-lit areas were when juxtaposed against the shade of the trees. Even the 14-bit RAW from the Nikon had a difficult time keeping everything in tact.
Mhmm thats true, the sunlight might not have been the best for photography/filming. However for personalities, and general well being, alot of people seemed to adore it ^_^. But I'll see about ficing the gamma and exposure settings in AE and re-uploading the video if I have time this week~
It's fantastic for filming and photography so far as aesthetics are concerned, but it's just a pain to work with regardless of the gear you're using. You'll find a simple S bend on an RGB curve will give it that necessary punchiness in contrast, so long as you pay close attention to retaining important details in the shadows. A notch up on the saturation does wonders when you record in flat log-like picture profiles like how the Sony footage looks. Though that's just something I've come to work with in using my video gear.
