Anyway this is a redesigned version of the shit-tier halloween character Astraeus and I even gave him a simpler name for the sake of things. Why did I settle on Flare? I wanted to keep it short and it actually has a slight bit of meaning to it even if it's used by more than one person on FA/is actually a kind of stupid name. (Though you might end up referring to him as Lord anyway)
Also I'm still pretty bad at shining but I'm trying to improve
(I'm noticing FA JPEG'd the fuck out of the preview, and I realized with how much red there is, this image might not show up well on some devices)

God, that shape is just too good. Cartoony, balloony, but sexy muscle. The SHINE. The GOTE.
Flare is a good name for him for the reasons you mentioned. I'm glad you came up with something you liked!
(And seriously this shine effect you've been honing over the last several pics you've done is just getting so fucking good, dude)
