Here's another one from the same album as last time. I think I might carry on doing songs from there, because it's had some of my favourite material for some time.
In retrospect this is probably one of my lightest songs, and I even began to debate while tabbing it out whether I needed the distorted rhythm guitar at all. It's been kept in, but at a very low volume, and I'm not sure whether I prefer the song with it turned all the way off or not.
In general I think it's one of my easiest songs to play, as well - even I can do the instrumental section! I may have a go at recording bits of it myself and putting them up as more guitar experiments.
[Lyrics]
I thought had the power to bring justice
I'd rush to rescue from the fall
For so long I thought I'd saved them
I'd been the pillar for them all
But now I've found an enemy that I can't face
And even the strong can be afraid
This time I cannot try to hide my fear from you
A call to the darkness for my aid
Who shall save the savior, find him, bring him
Back to life again
Who will wake him from the dream, erase
The memories that remain
The cruelty of the race that I knew taught me
Never to trust again
I gave them time and left behind what I knew
And they took away my name
And still I feel frustration coming over me
That there's a place I cannot use my voice
I want to fight, but I'm too weak to stand myself
I turn to escape, I have no choice
Who shall save the savior, find him, bring him
Back to life again
Who will wake him from the dream, erase
The memories that remain
No matter what they do,
No matter what they say to you
You can never die
Forget what's behind, now
Spread your wings and rise
So many things I could have said
But I chose to run for help
How could I save the world when now
I cannot save myself
Save the savior, find him, bring him
Back to life again
We will wake him from the dream he's lost in
Find him, and we'll
Save the savior, find him, bring him
(Save the savior from himself)
Back to life again
We will wake him from the dream, let go
(Wake him from the dream, bring him back to life again)
The memories that remain
We shall save this savior from himself
We must wake him from the dream
Bring him down to earth again

This just reminds me why I love your work in general. I really don't know how to describe it other than saying it successfully captures pretty much everything I like about good power metal--catchy tune, semi-uplifting and epic tone, all that good stuff. I like how you even use the flute instrument twice in the chorus for a harmony effect!
I'm actually having a bit of trouble telling the difference between the original and the tab version, which, if anything, apparently means you're good enough at guitar to seamlessly fill in for the MOD part, which is so far beyond my still-meager keyboarding that it's actually somewhat sad. But hey, congratulations. :)

Well, the reason you have trouble telling the difference between the two submissions is that they're exactly the same ;) The "real" tab/MIDI is behind the link at the top of the description, and I haven't tried actually recording them part by part as yet. Soon, though! The only recording of me on the guitar along with a MOD sounds significantly worse, here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1145489/
I actually used to use the MIDI exported from Guitar Pro 5, where I tab them out, as the submission, but the in-page MIDI player never worked and people never investigated further. So I reverted to re-submitting the MOD versions with my tab submissions.
But thank you for listening, as always! At least, submitting things this way, I get to hope people rediscover some of my older songs again.
