This is one of the high points in the Squaw Valley area, and it's about 9200 feet. This peak is also near the Pacific Crest Trail.
If you are hardy enough to walk this point of the trail Westward, you'll end up in Auburn.
If you think that's impressive a view, you should have been with us last summer - AWESOME; you can even spot the old cinder cone volcanoes that helped shape the Tahoe basin.
