Summary:
Created using Apophysis 2.09.
I couldn't resist when I saw not only an atom representing science, but crosses representing religion - it seemed almost too good to be true. It's delicious irony at its best!
Note: this is meant to be a background, so the sizing is a bit odd.
Time:
Approximately an hour and forty five minutes: 15 minutes messing with the flame itself, 50 minutes for the render, and 40 minutes in Photoshop tweaking the shading/coloring to emphasis the contrast between the atom in the middle and the crosses on either side.
