Can I tell you a funny story?
You look like the kind of RedWinter who might appreciate this xD
I had a job opportunity in Sweden at one time...Goteborg...for the game company DICE, who was ramping up Battlefield Vietnam at the time. Great folks, but nevermind that. It was cold when I was there, and I'm from New England where it gets cold for a good 5 months out of the year. But this was COLD cold...negative one degrees the whole time I was there, Day, night...negative one. Had no rental car, so I was walking everywhere in the NEGATIVE ONE and it was painful.
So about the time I was about to die from the negatives, I noticed an IRISH PUB! YAY! Thank god these vikings have a degree of civility about them.
I walk in and there are pictures and videos and hamburgers that are all about Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and THE BOSTON BRUINS! It was a BOSTON IRISH pub 3500 miles east of Boston! Turns out the Swedes love hockey! Woohoo! When the owner found out I was from Greater Boston, he brought me a Bobby Orr Burger on the house, god bless him xD Turns out he was so crazy about hockey that he spent his vacations flying to the east coast to catch Bruins and Leafs games...where he met a sweet little Boston hockey gal and fell in love and dragged her back to Sweden to watch their olympic team where she said...FUCKING NEGATIVE, WHO LIVES LIKE THIS????
Poor guy was crushed, and who can blame his acclimated self. A year later, he flew her back to his homeland and brought her to the grand opening of his new pub. Boston Irish Pub for his Boston Irish love! He proposed and she said yes <3
She told me "yeah, it's wicked fucking cold, but you kinda get used to it".
It's the most romantic thing I've ever heard! So adorable!
So that's my story. Go Bruins ;)
