Digital painting is always nice and spontaneous. I still prefer the real stuff, except I HATE setup/cleanup.

I think sometimes I would like to try to paint, but whenever I've attempted it, I always find my hand woefully unsteady, and so everything I attempt comes out sloppy. :/

Figure out a way to use it to your advantage, then. Style isn't as much about mastering techniques as it is effectively utilizing your own flaws.

Also... how big do you normally paint?

It's been a while, since I got dissatisfied with everything looking like I'm trying to paint with a vibrator or something. I don't recall the sizes that I normally tried to paint, but I seem to recall some small areas for the most part.

Get yourself a 4'x6' canvas and go to town on that bad boy =D

Painting with cheap housebrushes is awesome. Painting with vibrators sounds pretty cool too.

Yeah, it's actually ArtRage 2, which was sitting in my downloads folder collecting dust until recently.

Painting usually makes me a bit more aware of colors as I pick them--I don't know why =

Nice job using that impressionistic style. I really like the colors, like that cinnamon-ish hue, you used for the background. It really helps the figure stand out.
