Lol I spent about 20 minutes last night explaining the process of the lunar eclipse to Kitten. She was too tired to understand XD
But yeah, it sucks for us photographers too. Plus I find so much beauty in it, even though it's not a rare event. The beauty in the world needs to be appreciated.

It can be pretty rare. The amazing thing about this tetrad is that 3 of them are visible to the US (or maybe all 4... they keep changing their minds). We're supposed to have 6 or 8 tetrads this century though, which is apparently more than usual. I would say though, that you should try to catch it if you can. You might miss the next time it comes around.
