Now I’ll tell you more about the « young evolved species » living in Cérès. But first, I need to give you some precisions about some details concerning all of them :

* Sizes and Weights are approximate. Most of the persons from the specie will be a size or weight between these two extremes. But some might be a bit taller or a bit smaller. (And because there are different types of subcategories for some species, like River Lutraïs or Sea Lutraïs, etc.

* Most of the other « non-evolved » species are just exactly the same than on the temperate climates of Earth 3.000 years ago. Even if, there are some « exeptions ». We’ll talk about it later. ;)
* Hybrids can’t be born from any kind of cross/mix between any evolved species. It’s just a matter of anatomy. How could a poor Ratusa endure the pain to give birth to an half-Mustang ? Even for sex… There would be no possible interaction…The anatomical size difference can’t allow every cross/mix. AND, something very important that you MUST keep in mind : Hybrids are mostly not tolerated and hated. So, mixed couples are VERY rares ! And dating and/or mating someone from another specie is something VERY risky. So be sure that to be an Hybrid isn’t easy, and it’s not something you can proudly show.

* Something else funnier to keep in mind is to remember that when someone transforms into his/her feral/animal/primitive form/shape they can’t talk anymore. So they have to communicate using the old ways of communication : gesture, sounds, etc.

All is said so, now, let’s begin with the first young evolved specie :

Aozorans :

An Anthro evolved version of the eagles we all know. Just like eagles Aozorans are majestuous and great predators from the skies but they developed a self-centered and full of a sense of superiority personality. They are convinced that they are the kings and queens of skies and just dream about flying higher and higher to join Farès (the god of skies, wind and all that is above the earth) and dream about a glorious city among the clouds which they will build. Aozorans aren’t very friendly or helpful with each other but they know that together, they are stronger. That’s why they mostly live in big clans, this way, it’s much more easier to protect and keep an eye on the eggs and youngsters. They hate Ravens (crows’ evolution on Cérès), they talk way to much and are very annoying for them… That’s why the two species decided to live far from each other.

Size : between 1m30 and 1m40 as anthro and between 65 et 100 centimeters on their eagle form. (Yes, they can transform ;) )
Weight : between 20kg and 35 kg as anthros and btween 3 and 7 kg on their eagle form.
Status : Predators.
Life expectancy : around 50 years old (reach the adult age at 15).
Mostly living in : Everywhere on Cérès but they built their biggest clan on some giant cliffs on a place they called Sora.
Age of their Civilization : Similar to our Iron Age (but they don’t have their own alphabet).
Type of houses/buildings : They dig giant nests on cliffs or mountains and fit out to make it look like some little comfy living places. Sometimes, when they don’t have the choice, they just build wooden houses in big trees.
Typical kind of names : They are mostly related to the sky and are sort of Mayan-sounding names.
Customs :
- The first fly ceremony : all the children in age to fly will be invited to their first fly try with all adults and elders to look at them and help if there is a problem.
- The fly away souls’ ceremony : When an Aozoran died his or her family burn the body at the top of a cliff or very high place and then flap their wings together very strongly to help the soul to join Farès in the sky where he will transform the soul to give it a new life.
- The bravest’s ritual : When two Aozorans (or more) were arguing for too long and didn’t solve their problem, they must fly very high and then rush to the ground. The first one who’ll stop his/her fall will lose the challenge AND the quarrel.
- The Spring flies : Mostly, males try to show all Spring long their flying skills to seduce the female they love.
Reproductive mode : Most of the time the female lay two eggs 3 months after she got fertilized. She’ll sit on it for 2 months and they’ll hatch.
