A GTP Ford Mustang from 1983 to 1984, for now I'll just say this drawing came at a bit of a 'transitional point' in my recent drawing techniques. Although I'm hoping to make a better digital version...
But that will require time away from working on other stuff...we'll see.

thanks, and well, yeah, I try to learn what I can. In spite of how this car was technically a failure, I still can't help but admire it given not just how different it was for a simple sake of being 'different, but it had some interesting ideas that I felt could have been better done.
I feel like and given what I've researched, this car's key main issue was it's engine, and I can't help but think had that been better addressed (besides what apparent issues and conflict of interests between Ford itself, Zackspeed and Roush), this probably could have at least been a contender against such monsters like the 956/962.
Hell...been trying to design an 80s IMSA GTP/Group C car taking a few key traits of this car as a point of inspiration. But that's a project...i'm hoping to even start, but we'll see.

Don Panoz proved that a front engine car DOES have its advantages, in the rain for example.
I read an interview with Bob Riley he also blamed the Zackspeed engine. He told tales of the engine blowing up during the break in periods at the shop!
I think if Ford would have gone with the classic 302...the car would have done better.
