Down two games to one, the Swamp Foxes needed to find a way to bring hope to the home fans, to stand the tide against the solid bats the Bombers have provided all series so far. And so they gave the ball to Ginger Thompson, their solid #2 pitcher who had been solid for the last two years in the playoffs. Ginger spun a fantastic game, holding the Bombers to a single unearned run on the night, backed up with a strong showing from the small-ball department again. So far the series has gone back and forth, bringing the series to best of three with tomorrow's game.

When asked about his horrible slump, Ty Vulpintaur just shrugged and looked around "You see these guys and girls up here with me? They got my back. They're the ones keeping the team in this series. We're just two games away from a title, whether or not I get hits. Teams win titles, not individual players."
