Here's the OC session in a nutshell.
This time I covered gesture; primarily in pose but I also glanced at internal gesture.
The sketch is my first stage, and from there I go to the full drawing.
The rest of the images are not stages but instead design considerations that I try to keep in mind as I draw anything. No matter how cartoony I draw something I always try to maintain some sense of anatomical structure. When I draw internal gesture I play off the movement of lines and shapes of the body as well as the anatomical structures.
The pic in the bottom right was included cuz I though she looked cute.

reminds me of How I used to do mine for a while. did the sketch then a quick skeleton on top and -then- I'd move on to how the character would look. But the way yours looks it lacks the "OMG my hands are killing me" feel and it looks a heck of a lot more attractive, for that I tip my hat to you...If I had a hat >.>
Thank you very much for showing us this setup type and diffrent methods of figuring out poses and such. I for one have a very diffucult time coming up with fluid poses "as my gallery proves" so i thank yee, and please keep your tutorials coming for those of us who struggle with computer coloring and drawing. Once again thanks for sepnding the time to do this for us!
Looks like you've also got a negative space consideration too, considering how clearly you showed space between the legs, and between the pointing arm and trunk. Very nice.
openCanvas is AWESOME for teaching, I'm surprised I haven't seen people offering drawing classes in it. :D

Very nice. I must say though, that the only one I'm having trouble understanding the concept of is the Internal Gesture drawing. Mostly where it's use would differ from the regular Gesture drawing, and why the head is done like that.
Unless that particular line going across the head to the hand represents her mouth...

It's just there to represent anatomical flow within the musculature. It's not something that's done as part of a gesture and is more important when utilizing complex anatomy. For example the flow of the muscles in the arm.
The line is just the bottom of her chin. There's not much visible anatomy in her face :)
