haha don’t mind the cheese I was just thinking of a sailor moon au.
that thing endymion has is supposed to be like a scifi magic-y type shield thing. This is where he’s looking for the silver crystal still, ends ups saving sailor moon from a blast from an enemy.
I’m thinking the world is like, apocalyptic because of some alien invasion and it’s been that way for a while and sailor moon etc are fighting to keep the planet at least somewhat habitable (it’s fairly toxic to non-sailor scouts, particularly the area of fighting??). also in this au at least there is a reason why she wouldn’t recognize him without the mask heavens sakes that’s the one thing that bothered me about sailor moon ever since I was kid they both look 99% the same in costume and out
