At the end of the first pre-season game with the Kahunas winning over the Wildcards, the GM of the Kahunas, Wilmer Grehr, asked rookie Aurora Goldshine to slip on the alternate jersey for the Hawaii team to see how it looked.
After finding out how well the black contrasted with her natural yellow scales, he asked her to make a few free-throws while he had the team photographer take pictures.
The rest is up to the Kahunas' marketing department - with some of the vets, the team will garner even more home-town support.
