if you want to add a little more to the tail try Kneadatite epoxy. If you want to make it more than half an inch longer I'd stick a short bit of wire in there for support. Kneadatite is great if you don't want to bake and/or want fine details. It cures in an hour or so, and you can sand down the edges. I used it for a Unicorno DIY:
