I decided to use this week to complete some personal projects, so I'm proud to bring you guys the results of me finally letting my muse run wild. :) This is the first of three pieces I managed to squeeze in.
This is my Minecraft inspired character Ender - I kinda just came up with her recently so I'm still working some aspects of her design out, but I've decided to give her ridiculously long hair. lol She's a former scientist who had an experiment with Ender magic go awry, and now she is part Enderman herself! :o
Aside from Endermen, Slimes are my favorite monster type from Minecraft, so I decided to just draw something cute with her and some slimes - that little one doesn't look very happy that it's being picked up. hehe
If time permits, I'd love to do little chibi portraits like this for each of my characters. :>

I'm kinda hoping it'll mean better and more frequent updates. I want more blocks, more biomes, more ore, more food, more critters! If one guy who makes the LoTR mod I play can add all that stuff every month, I don't know why it takes Mojang almost a year to add just a few little things. 0.o
I'm remaining cautiously optimistic about it though - I know Notch was overwhelmed with how big Minecraft has gotten, and he wasn't really prepared to deal with that, so he handed it over to someone who could. I just hope greed doesn't ruin it for us.

You see the thing that I fear most about this is not Microsoft will destroy Minecraft or anything like that, but that they might remove the ability for people to make mods, Microsoft has never supported mods on any of their games so I'm worried that they won't let the modding community keep making mods. I've never had a PC capable of playing any game at all so I'm familiar with the boring and repetitive gameplay that stims from little to no new content. I also have decided to pursue game development as a career and as soon I finish community college I plan on enrolling on a online game degree. So I wanted to make mods for various games and get credit for my degree. I consider myself a hardcore gamer and I've never been able to play with a mod before, and since Minecraft is one of my most favorite games ever I want to experience mods on it. And now I'm afraid that I won't be able to and if there's no modding support anymore I can't make mods for it. In the game development industry you don't just get judged on your degree or which college you went to but on what you've done in the past, and since Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world making mods that are well crafted (Crafted get it?) and popular goes a long way to getting a good position in the industry.
So two reasons why I am very concerned about this whole thing, but like you said maybe more frequent update? Fingers crossed.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I've heard that they want to allow modders to keep doing what they do. I think that Minecraft would go downhill really fast if they take that ability away, because lets face it, plain ol' vanilla can get kinda boring after a while, unless you play constantly on Creative and you like building. (Which I do, but I still like the ability to immerse myself in new versions of the game.) I've also heard that MS has been involved with this for a while now, we're only just now hearing about it. We'll see I suppose, worst case scenario they wreck the game and we all just end up playing the most recent version we have downloaded.
Haha, yeah they will get ya. One time I was diggy diggy a hole and I heard the gurgling but i didn't see a Endermen. So with caution I continued digging.
As soon as my pick axe hit the cobblestone wall it got snatched up by a endermen on the other side. I freaked when he was just like HELLLooooooo. Through
the small opening. I ran out of that tunnel so fast I thought I broke my key board spamming that space bar. XD
Also playing a mod where there are baby endermen. If you kill one two full grown pissed off adults will beat you down with no mercy. LOL
