Lupis may be the god of all wolf-kind (at least on his native planet) but that doesn't mean he doesn't have to do any work. He takes care of his village's bees, protecting them from predators like spiders as they roam the plains and meadows for flowers, and collecting extra honey, pollen, and wax from the hives for the use of his own people. He's similar to a human shepherd, except instead of a sheep herd, it's a bee swarm.
Instead of a shepherd's crook, he wields a bug-catching net. A bee that's wandering off or stuck has to be led back to the swarm, after all, and that net is the safest way to do so. Of course, a god, even a mortal god like Lupis, rarely has to use that net. As you can see, the fuzzy little guys are very comfortable in his presence.
