Amazing. Simple Amazing. A fav in my books.
It is sad that we are the cancer of this planet with no enlightenment in sight. Mankind needs one hell of a kick in the ass to open their eyes and start working in healing our only Oasis with in the Ocean of Void.

Honestly, I ain't so worried about the planet. She's survived a few nasty meteors and is still holding together.
Nature's doing pretty well too. Sure, some of the species may not survive the changing circumstanses, but what's new? Life is persistant and will not be wiped away easily.
Humans? Well, once we run out of fossile fule, there's going to be hunger, wars, death and destruction all around the place. Some of us will most likely survive, but our numbers will propably fall considerably and for a long time.
Or then we'll just all die out, as most of us don't know how to live without the Internet anymore.
But the planet's gonna be fine and dandy.

My sentiments exactly. I realize this is an old post, but I have never seen such a comment that more reflected my own views.
Even if humanity was actually trying to destroy all life, they would destroy themselves long before they could get close. And I do agree with the fossil fuel dependency thing. Also, we're overdue for an ice age that's only being kept at bay by carbon dioxide emissions. Once the trees absorb it back and the ice age hits, crops will die, worldwide hunger will ensue, and then there may quite possibly be wars over food.

yeah thats all true, but we humans (yeah we are furries but still humans, not as i've seen some "furries" saying somewhere they where not humans cause they were furries... i think is a really stupid thing to say ^^"), and lots of us only starts to REALLY work to make things better when it affects us directly...

Ugh! Thank you for uploading this! I couldn't agree more and I wish people would see how we should be going for alternate ways to keep living the way we do. Sure, you can have the speedy awesome smexy car... Just make it a hybrid! I think all cars should be made to hybrids, and we should start really seriously making solar and wind plants EVERYWHERE. I mean, Drilling for Oil isn't going to do it anymore, its so unhealthy for mother earth, yes, a lot of people will lose jobs in the oil company, why not just automatically transfer them over to solar and wind power plant companies? It can't be that hard. >_<!!!

Slowly but surely we're getting the hint and starting more heavily to take the responsibility we should have taken so long ago. No doubt that we still have a long way to go, but at least we have a start.

I have only now just seen this. It has been 2 years since you posted this. After seeing all the events in the last two years since then, it only seems as if things are getting worse. I am one of those that believes that the Earth is self regulating...as are all ecosystems. They can only take so much use and abuse before they fall apart. But, there will still be a balance to it all. It may not be the same every again but it does balance out and equilize in the end and Humanity may not be a part of that equation it any longer. Then question is when it does, will it be a habitable place at all?
Only time will tell.
