Let's see, how long can I go without drawing a picture with Mewblade in it? Apparently two months. My ratio of Mewthrees to other things when it comes to pictures is something like 1:3, for Mewblade to everything else, I believe it's 1:5, which still places her as the most drawn character in my gallery. Been focusing on so much Fatality writing (first novel done, down to the editing) that MB has been a little pushed aside. There is that, and sometimes I personally do not like being considered a one-trick-pony. Granted, I get really, really twitchy after a while if I don't pay tribute to her, so time for some Mewblade work. I do love to honor her.

Went for a dusk type of sky and a simple framing. Done something like this before with another character, but that picture was more pop art and this is more decidedly classical. Hate painting wings, especially hers since goodness, what does metal attack wings look like? These things are not made for flying. Spent hours just fussing with those, and hate them. I do like everything else, particularly her Mona Lisa smile. Guess in the end, I just wanted to paint her pretty and keep it genuine, and maybe with a side of a bit of goddess in there. (Though those wings are such a high cost to pull out, that she wouldn't have them out for show like this.)
