Lumen means 'snow's' but lumenen does not mean anything in finnish. IF it was luminen (lumi = snow) it would mean snowy though.
The name was inspired by the english word luminous and added the finnish ending nen that often refers to a place full of whatever the word before it means = the city is full of lights.
