And here's the obligatory Meet 7 Greet photo of myself with Svengoolie. I'm holding the rubber chicken he just signed.
I don't have any photosof it (since I was on stage) but there was a costume contest, and I won with my fursuit. The footage should show up in a later Svengoolie episode.

Not only met him, I was on stage with him.
My fursuit won the costume contest easily; the applause for me was at least twice what second place got. Then again, it probably helped that I was working the crowd in character and showing that this was more than just "Oh, here's a costume, I'll just stand around like a bored model."
Heck, I was even working the crowd when I was announced as the winner; I went into full "Beauty Pageant Winner" mode, emoting like crazy through pantomime.
You want to know the kicker? Bozo the Clown was there as part of the festivities (This was at the Museum of Broadcast Communication, remember, and the Bozo Show had been a long-running staple of WGN-9 in Chicago), and before the costume contest started, Bozo asked to have his picture taken with ME!
